Flutist
I have performed in countless concert bands, wind ensembles, orchestras and chamber groups in some amazing concert halls such as Boston's Symphony Hall, Cleveland's Severance Hall, and Kitara Hall in Sapporo, Japan. Over the years, I have taken lessons in voice, piano, theatre, and ballet to enhance my understanding of performance, expression, and relation to music. I am often praised for her "sweet, round, full sound", and artistic interpretation of repertoire, particularly Impressionist pieces by French composers.
As a soloist, I am available to perform at weddings, worship services, holiday parties, funerals, and pit orchestras. My rates vary based on the location of the event, and the duration of performance.
Educator
I taught at the North End Music & Performing Arts Center for almost three years. I now am available to teach privately in the MetroWest area or electronically via Zoom, and offer lessons to beginning and intermediate students of all ages, 3rd Grade and up. I understand that all students learn differently and have different goals, and take a patient and individualized approach to music education. Emphasizing well-rounded musicianship, my students will gain a thorough understanding of rhythm, sound, breathing, technique, interpretation, and expression - and will have lots of fun!
Students must have access to their own flute, either owned or rented. I can assist in finding a reliable rental program if needed!
Because I find online lessons to lose some productive/educational time due to setting up or technological glitches, my online lessons are 15 minutes longer, but at the same price.
Payment is accepted before the beginning of the lesson via cash, check, or Venmo.
